Forsk announces the completion of a project with Vodacom.
Vodacom, the largest wireless operator in South Africa, had selected
Atoll for the planning of its 2G and 3G networks.
Forsk and its local partner 4G Technologies have completed this
project that included provision of Atoll licenses, installation and
configuration services, migration from the previously used RF planning
tool, comprehensive training to users in the whole country and
propagation model calibration.
Vodacom Group records 32.4 million customers across its networks
operating in South Africa, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of the
Congo, Lesotho and Mozambique
Vodacom South Africa has retained its leadership in a highly
competitive South African mobile communications market with an
estimated market share of 59% at June 30, 2007.
