Xfera Móviles selects Atoll for the planning
of its UMTS network.

Xfera
Móviles, partly owned by Sonera (Finland), ACS (Spain),
and Vivendi (France), is one of the four UMTS licence
holders in Spain. With more than 500 employees, it will
be launching its services in the second half of the year
Xfera Móviles has selected Atoll, the UMTS RF planning
solution from Forsk, for the design of its nationwide
UMTS network. Forsk has installed 18 Atoll licenses
shared between its headquarter located in Madrid and 6
regional offices. "We have selected Atoll because
it includes advanced UMTS features, while being fast,
user-friendly and very flexible" said Alejandro de
Hoz, responsible for the RF Planning group at Xfera
Móviles.
