Major Australian operator is to replace its existing radio network planning tools with Atoll. The decision to purchase Atoll™ came after an exhaustive yearlong evaluation of the world’s leading radio network design tools. Local support will be provided by Atoll’s Autralian distributor, TeleResources. 

Atoll™ had been chosen because of its ease of use and its ability to support multi-technology second and third generation networks. Atoll’s open API approach allows to select from a variety of third party developer products that can address special needs like automatic optimisation. 

TeleResources Managing Director, Maurie Dobbin, also expressed his delight with the news commenting that the sale was the culmination of a strategy to get Atoll™ recognised as the best radio planning tool in the market. “We have been associated with Forsk since 1999 and without a doubt this is the most important order we have received to date,” Dobbin claimed. “We are looking forward to working closely with this new customer and Forsk to provide training and local support for the software,” he added. 

This new contract in Australia reinforces the market leading position of Atoll™.
