Atoll 5G Capabilities in the Spotlight

February 16, 2018

Since early 2017, major operators and vendors have been using Atoll for the very first deployments of 5G wireless access networks, as well as for R&D activities.

Forsk’s recent webinars on Atoll LTE-A Pro and 5G capabilities attracted a huge audience within the radio planning and optimisation community.

Forsk will also demonstrate Atoll’s 5G capabilities at the Mobile World congress from 26th February to 1st March on our stand J18 in Hall 6.

Atoll’s modular architecture, advanced radio technology modelling capabilities along with the support for mmWave propagation, massive MIMO, and 3D beamforming, provide operators with a flexible and evolutionary framework for the design and deployment of 5G networks.

Atoll includes the following 5G features:

  • Support for 5G frequency bands above and below 6GHz, and wideband carriers
  • mmWave propagation modelling
  • Support for 3D beamforming & massive MIMO
  • Support for “last-mile” fixed wireless deployment
  • Automatic small cell selection
  • Support for cross-band carrier aggregation
