Introduction

This course is a 3-day Overview of Atoll's main features, focused on GSM/UMTS technologies for a broader approach.
Designed for new or future Atoll users, being involved in GSM/UMTS activity for design and deployment of cellular wireless networks.
A solid background in GSM/GPRS/EDGE and WCDMA technologies is required to follow this course.

Overview

Atoll GSM/UMTS is a comprehensive software environment for the planning and optimisation of GSM/UMTS networks. Its provides modelling of the network elements, voice and data services, and supports advanced GSM and UMTS features such as HCS, frequency hopping, EDGE, HSPA etc.
Atoll version 2.8 new features include support for HSPA+ and MIMO and a new GSM/UMTS interference analysis tool which help operators analyse GSM and UMTS deployments in the same frequency bands.
The course also includes an overview of the Atoll GSM AFP (Automatic Frequency Planning) and GSM/UMTS ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) modules.
