Forsk announces that the new version of Atoll (v2.8) -its leading radio planning & optimisation software- is now available.
In Atoll version 2.8, the LTE module includes new features resulting from the strong R&D program that Forsk is conducting with its strategic partners, including world-leading equipment vendors and operators.
The Atoll LTE module was the first LTE planning tool available on the market in Q2 2008. It is since then being used by operators and vendors on a number of projects worldwide.
Atoll 2.8 also incorporates advanced UMTS/LTE and CDMA2000/LTE co-planning features that will help operators & vendors plan the introduction of LTE into their exiting networks.
Atoll 2.8 also includes a number of key new features in other technology modules, such as:
- Support for HSPA+
- Support for EDGE evolution
- New WiMAX ACP (Automatic Cell Planning)
- New GSM/UMTS ACP
- Enhanced CDMA 2000 and TD-SCDMA modules
