The Atoll software is being provided by Forsk, a Toulouse, France-based independent software company specializing in radio planning and optimization tools for the wireless industry. As part of the partnership, Forsk will help Cellular South transition to the new software and provide on-site training, mentoring and data migration.
“Atoll is the most advanced RF planning tool on the market today,” said David Smith, director of Engineering and Development for Cellular South. “It’s user-friendly, flexible interface, stability and high level of performance were key factors in our decision to select this product.
”Forsk, whose U.S. operations are based in Chicago, Illinois, has an “outstanding reputation” for high-quality technical support, according to Smith. “We also considered their long-term commitment to the RF planning tool and ability to meet our design needs for emerging and future technologies,” he added.
