Forsk is pleased to announce that Comsol Networks (Pty) Ltd, one of South Africa's leading telecommunications providers, has selected Atoll to support the planning and optimisation of its Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) network.

Comsol operates an extensive licensed FWA network serving more than 200 metropolitan areas across South Africa. Designed to deliver fiber-like performance, the network is supported by a resilient infrastructure built to maintain service continuity during power outages and national load-shedding events.

As part of its network evolution strategy, Comsol sought a powerful and accurate radio planning solution to model and optimise its growing FWA infrastructure. The company selected Atoll, with an initial deployment focused on the Gauteng region and plans to extend the solution to additional areas across the country.

To ensure the highest level of modeling accuracy, Forsk worked closely with Comsol's engineering teams through a series of dedicated configuration and optimisation workshops. These collaborative efforts enabled the network models to be finely tuned to local conditions and operational requirements.

By successfully achieving the targeted prediction accuracy levels, the project met its acceptance criteria, validating both the implementation process and the performance of the deployed solution. Today, Atoll provides Comsol with a reliable platform for efficient network planning and optimisation, supporting the continued growth and evolution of its FWA services across South Africa.

About Forsk
Forsk is an independent software company providing operators and vendors with wireless network design and optimisation products.

Atoll, Forsk's flagship product, is a multi-technology wireless network design and optimisation software that allows operators to streamline planning and optimisation activities by combining predictions and live network data. With more than 11,000 installed licenses in over 140 countries, Atoll has become the industry standard for wireless network design and optimisation.

Naos is Forsk's automation platform dedicated to wireless network planning and optimisation. Naos is a cloud-native platform that enables operators to scale and automate planning and optimisation processes through on-premises or cloud-based deployments. Typical use cases include 5G site selection as well as massive coverage calculations and optimisation processes.

Atoll One is a dedicated version of Atoll, specifically designed for the planning and optimisation of small to medium-sized outdoor and indoor Private Mobile Networks.

Atoll and Naos provide operators with a comprehensive framework for integrated, interactive, fully automated and scalable wireless network planning and optimisation. Atoll and Naos are available from Forsk's offices and technical support centres in France, USA, and China, as well as from a worldwide network of distributors and partners.
